Mina Takaji comes from the far-off land of Najirobi, from the village Makijiko. She was trained in the art of karol-yan from an early age. She showed quite an aptitude for the ancient fighting style, becoming an apt pupil and rapid learner.So rapid was her progression that she quickly outstripped all of her peers and by the time she was a teen, had moved to recieving personal lessons from the most experienced teacher on the island.
When she was 17, the village elders summoned her. They told her of the sign that had been seen when she was born. They would not describe the exact nature of the sign, but she was told that it foretold something great in her future. However, it also foretold that her destiny was to be forged in a place where she was a stranger, and doom would befall her and everyone nearby should she stay in Makijiko.
So, with the blessings of the elders and the prayers of her friends and family, she left her home, never to return. She traveled far, eventually coming to the City-Kingdom of Lucre, wondering if this was where her destiny would come to pass, or if it was merely another stop along the road. Whichever it was, she renewed her threefold vow: never stop until she completed her fate, always stay true to the tenets of her faith, and never compromise who she was. Joining an adventuring company didn’t seem like such bad work, and it certainly provided plenty of heroic opportunities.
